Here are the pictures i promised...

This past weekend we went to Kennecott Copper Mine with Megan and Adam. First we got lunch and took it to a fun park in Copperton.

These are from the Thanksgiving Point Gardens and Children's Garden quite some time ago. We go there a lot because we have a membership. The Children's Garden is really cool, they have a Noah's Ark thing with a little pool around it for the kids to play in!

These first ones are of Jackson looking out the window watching all the cars go by, waiting for Daddy to get home.

We have been so busy lately! We had Melanie's wedding on July 19th, and everything turned out great! Unfortunately we forgot our camera, so we have to get copies soon from the others. Andy has been on vacation the last week, he started on the 3rd and he goes back on the 14th. We have had a lot of fun. My 21st Birthday was on the 6th! We mostly celebrated it on the 5th though, since my birthday landed on a Sunday. Andy and I went on an overnight trip to Wendover on the 7th, while Andy's parents watched little man. It was fun to get away for a little bit. Unfortunately though while we were coming home our car broke down, so Andy's dad Michael had to get off of work early and had to bring stuff to us to fix it. They got it fixed for a short time, enough to get it home. We had to pay about $200 to buy a new radiator and a couple other things. We really hope nothing else goes wrong with either of the cars. We have had our share of luck with our cars! We took Jackson to the living planet aquarium yesterday with Megan and Adam and the twins they are watching. We saw jellyfish, a lobster, an octopus, pufferfish, and all sorts of other fish. We even got to touch sting rays! They said that they just cut off the stingers. Afterwards we went to lunch at Sampan. Here are some pictures from the living planet aquarium:

Update...

Just another update... Last week we were on our way to Silver Lake with Megan and Adam, and our car broke down. We had to fix the radiator cap thingy which was $70, and then to get our car to pass safety which had to be renewed again, we had to pay $250 to fix the pipes and resonator on the muffler. And we finally got our AC working on the Mazda. It was $100, but it sure is worth it! And it was cheaper than we thought it would be. So we have had to put quite a lot of money into the Mazda in the last two weeks. So today was Andy's day off so we went to Silver Lake with Megan and Adam. It was a lot of fun. We first went to Silver Lake Lodge for lunch which was pretty good food. We then went to Silver Lake, and walked around the boardwalk. Jackson did great, he walked more than half of the way on his own. Although we got this monkey backpack thing that also has a leash on it. He seems to like it a lot. We then took the Guardsman Pass over to Park City, and went to the outlets. Megan and I both got flag shirts from Old Navy. And like always, we went to Harry and David to get chocolate pretzels! YUM!!! We have some pictures from today, but I will have to upload them a little later. Jackson is sure showing his personality now! He is so cute! He says a bunch of different random things, but we think he doesn't know the meaning yet. Today on our way up to Silver Lake we were listening to Shania Twain music, and he started to shake his head and dance in his seat. It was so cute! I have also been scrapbooking lately, here are a few of the layouts I have done... Sorry if the scan didn't come out so well...

The Weekend

We started out the weekend by Friday Night going to dinner for Fathers Day for Andy. We went to GoodWood Barbeque Company in Draper. Andy loved it, it is his favorite place to go to now for ribs. On Saturday we went to get massages at the college. That night we went to a concert party of Andy's dad's band called "This Side Up." They were great! We had to leave early though, because Megan and Adam were coming home from their trip from California and their car broke down in Elko, Nevada and we had to go pick them up. We left at about 8:30 pm and got to them in Elko at 11:30. Andy wanted to look at their car for a little bit. And then with all the stops we had to make, getting gas and food, we didn't get home until 5:30 the next morning. We were all so tired, and we all didn't get much sleep after we got home. On Fathers Day we saw both families, but we were still so tired that we didn't stay long. We had a barbeque last night at my brother's house. Last week Hailey had a cyst on the back of her head, and it got infected so she had to have surgery and was in the hospital for a couple of days. Jeff is coming home from Iraq sometime this next week, so we are all excited about that! We will all be busy cleaning up this week because Adam's parents are coming in town over the weekend. I will update again soon...

Well, I should have updated sooner. We went to the ranch in Coalville on Memorial Day Weekend. We had tons of fun. The weather was crazy. It was nice weather at one point, and then the next it was stormy. But like I said, we had a lot of fun anyway. We left early on Sunday night because my Grandma had passed away. We, as a family, decided it wasn't the right time to have a funeral. Andy got the week off due to her passing. We went to the temple that Tuesday. I love going there. We really should go more often though. We went to Jessica's graduation Wednesday night. Melanie and Wes changed their wedding date from July 26th, to a week before on July 19th. Andy just finished their wedding invitations, and they look great. He is also working on a video slideshow to play at their reception. Jackson is getting to be such a cute toddler. He is still running, as fast a he can go, and now he is beginning to climb stairs! It is pretty scary! He is also still teething a lot, and we have found quite a few more teeth, two of which are molers. We feel so bad for him, because he has to go through all the pain of the teething. We have so much fun with him, and he makes our lives so much better! Here are some pictures from the ranch...

In case you're wondering the very first picture is from when our car got stuck in the mud, and Adam had to get it out with the four-wheeler. Well, that was a very nerve-racking experience! And the last picture: a beaver that came close to the cabin.

Wow, I can't believe it has been this long since I posted. We have been so busy. Jackson is now walking and running as fast as he can go! He also has gotten a few more teeth, so 10 altogether! He also is somewhat talking. He mimicks what we say. Mostly he says hi back to us when we say it to him. Last night were driving and I said whoa, and he said it back. And then a few days ago, he was getting into something that he wasn't supposed to, so I said no, and he said it back, of course! He is so cute though! We can't wait until when he will be talking a ton! We have heard stories of the funny things kids say all the time. We wonder what funny things he will say! We have been getting ready for summer, so we bought a tent and we got a barbeque grill. We haven't been able to go camping yet, but we have been using the grill a ton! We love it! A few weeks ago we went on the Mirror Lake Byway, in Kamas. Part of it was still closed, but what did get to see was very beautiful. We stopped at a fish hatchery on the way, but that was also closed. Earlier this week we took Jackson to the Hogle Zoo. It was a really hot day, but it was still fun. Jackson didn't show too much interest, but he did like to look at the Elephants, and the Giraffes. We know in a few years he will show more interest. I found out today, that my sister-in-law, Melanie is now engaged! So, Melanie if you are reading this, Congratulations!!!! And also, another sister-in-law, Jessica is graduating from Highland High at the end of the month. So, also Congrats to Jessica! I have been scrapbooking a lot lately. I don't know how to upload pictures so when Andy gets off, I will have him help me upload them on here.

I know, I haven't posted for awhile. I have been so busy. Jackson has still been sick with his ear infection, and I have had a few doctors appointments, and have just been busy spending time with the family. Jackson is VERY close to walking completely walking on his own. Every day I have him walk a little with his walker. He is really good, and he goes fast, but he looks kind of like Frankenstein, just because he doesn't bend his legs very much. It is so cute though! He walks until he runs into something. It is so funny! Earlier this week, Andy and I saw Ice Age: The Meltdown. It was such a cute movie. A lot of times the second of movies isn't as good as the first one, but this time I like this one better than the first. Tonight we had a fun night. We went with Megan and Adam to the restaurant we went to last week, GoodWood Barbeque Company. It is so good. It was Megan and Adam's first time, they also liked it a lot. After that we went to Deseret Book, and after that to The South Towne Mall. We hadn't been to that mall before, so we wanted to see what was there. Andy and Adam found a video game store, where you can pay to play any games you want for an hour. While they did that, Megan and I went shopping, of course! It was a lot of fun. Cleaning

Today I did a lot of cleaning while Andy was at work. I usually say that I am gonna do a lot in one day but soon after I start I get too tired and lay down. It has been such a mess lately with being so busy, and sick, and so much more. So I am happy I finally got some cleaning done. I want to get more done tomorrow, but I'll have to see because I want to watch conference, and Megan and I are going to Ladies Night at Deseret Book. After Andy got off work we decided we wanted to go see a movie. Andrew's pick~ Slither. Well on our way we got pulled over on our street. The funny thing though is that earlier in the week we got pulled over by the same cop, and didn't get a ticket. Well the cop came up to our car, and was about to write a ticket, but got called to a car accident so we didn't get a ticket and are really lucky. We called Megan and Adam to tell them our story, they thought we were playing an April Fools joke on them. Nope, not a joke. Just a really funny and lucky story for us. After that we dropped little man off at Andy's parents and we went to the movie. I didn't really like the movie but Andy did. I guess it is just a guy movie. We went back to get little man, and we visited for awhile. While we were at the movie, he started walking a few steps. We thought when we got there that he wouldnt do it again, but he did. At most I think he walked 5-6 steps. It is so cute! My little man is growing up way too quick! We went to visit my parents for a little bit and then we headed home. Unfortunately Andy has to work tomorrow so we have to go to bed early. Last night we got great sleep, compared to the night before. I will post again soon! :)

tired

Today around 1:30 in the morning Jackson woke up really sick, having a fever and uncontrollably vomiting, not holding any food or liquids down. We were worried about him being dehydrated so we took him to the ER. It took quite some time to be seen, there was other patients that needed to be seen first. We were there about 2 1/2 hours total. For the first hour and a half he was still really sick but then they brought in a popsicle to see if he would take it before deciding to do an IV. He wouldn't take it at first but then he finally did. He ate about half of it, then the doctor came in and said that we didn't have to do an IV, thankfully. He really would have hated it. We got home right before 5 and he went to sleep fine... but we had been awake for so long that Andrew and I couldn't go back to sleep for awhile. Andrew had to call in to work today seeing that we had gotten very little sleep. We thought that Jackson would sleep later than usual but he didn't. We got up to take care of him, and he actually was acting much better.We were too tired to make anything this morning, so we ate at a restaurant called Goodwood Barbeque Company. It was so good. We then had to help Andrew's sister with something, and since then we have been home resting a bit. Hopefully we will get better sleep tonight.

Fun day

So today Andrew and I made this for little man's room. Isn't it so cute?! It was so easy too, we went with my family to a store called The Wood Connection and we just had to get the wood, paint, and vinyl rub-ons. I saw so much stuff I want to buy to make so we are probably gonna go back later this week. After going there we all drove to Lehi, we ate first at this little place called "One Man Band Diner." It was so good! After that we were gonna go to some scrapbook stores but Andrew, Jackson and I had to be somewhere to get family pictures done. They turned out great, but I hate that we have to wait til the middle of April to get them back. Even though Jackson has had his infection, he was very cooperative and very cute in the pictures. I will post them once we get them back. We came home and have been resting. I am so glad I have become a SAHM, we get to spend so much more time together as a family. We had a super fun day, gonna go spend more time with the fam. Thanks for looking! I will post again soon! :)

Sad Baby

So today I took Jackson to his 12 month appointment. The doctor was looking over everything, and she was looking in his ear and noticed he has a really bad ear infection. So she prescribed him on an antibiotic for 10 days called Amoxicillin. And plus he had to get 4 shots today for him immunizations. I feel so bad for him, an ear infection, runny nose, and being sore from the shots. Other than that, she checked his weight, length, and head circumference. He weighs 20 lbs 9 ounces with his only 16th percentile for his age but she isn't worried. His length is 30 inches in the 50th percentile, and I dont remember the exact number but he is in 90th percentile for his head. So he's a skinny, tall boy with a big head! :) With having a big head that just makes him that much smarter! :) He is almost walking, he walks around furniture, but not quite on his own. He stands up for a second but then realizes what he is doing and falls down. Well, I need to go take care of the little man! I'll post again soon! Thanks for looking!

Lots of fun

We have had tons of fun lately, enjoying the wonderful weather. Yesterday after church my husband, my sister Megan, and my brother-in-law Adam walked to the park to try and attempt to fly a kite. Andy and Adam got it up once for about 30 seconds but all the other times it wouldnt go up. After that Andy and Adam had an idea to try and fly the kite outside the sunroof of our car while driving. It somewhat worked but it kept on hitting the car. Those two are so funny. Well, at least they make their wives have a good laugh! They have said lately that if they were missionary companions they would have had so much fun together. We also went to eat at Sampan Chinese Restaurant. I finally tried something new there other than Sesame Chicken and got Teriyaki Chicken. It was so good! Megan and I also scrapped last night. Today Andy and Adam got off we all went on a bike ride. It is so fun when we all go together. We are all trying to lose a little weight, so we have said that we want to do 20 miles in a week, but who knows if we really will. Hopefully though! Like i said before, we have just been enjoying the nice weather here. I hope it stays like this! I love spring weather! I will post again soon! :)

my entry into the blogging world!

Hi, my name is Nicole and I am 20 years old. My husband is Andrew, and our sweet little man that just turned one is Jackson. We live in West Jordan, Utah with my sister, Megan, her husband Adam, and Adam's brother David. It is a lot of fun living with them, it has brought us all closer, although before we moved into this house we lived right next door to eachother in an apartment complex in Holladay. I recently became a stay at home mom, and Andrew works at Discover Card.

Like I said before, my little man just turned one, on Thursday, the 23rd. I can't believe it has been a year. He has blessed us so much. We had his birthday partyat Jungle Jim's and it was so much fun, although Jackson was in the beginning stage of a cold so he wasn't all that happy.

I absolutely love scrapbooking! That is what brought me to this, reading other scrapbookers blogs! I thought might as well start my own! I also love shopping. My sister and I went at a scrapbook store today and everytime we go it is so hard not to buy anything. We both got some idea books. After that we went to Target. We love going there!
